Lutein is an antioxidant that quenches or reduces harmful free radicals in various parts of the body exposed to light, especially eyes and skin. It has been linked to preventing or slowing vision loss associated with Age-related Macular Degeneration (AMD) and it is also favorable to skin health, cardiovascular health and women’s health.
